MEET VICTORIA

Victoria Lacy

Vickie Langford Lacy is a Carthage-based fiber artist and wearable art designer with more than three decades of awards and invited exhibits in Texas and beyond.

Her most recent national honor was a showing in the 2016 Fiber Arts Show at the Sacramento Fine Arts Museum (California). Vickie has been twice honored as one of the top 50 Wearable Art Designers in the nation, for which her work was shown at major international quilt shows over two-year periods.

Vickie is actively engaged in artistic and cultural organizations with her main participation in The Art League of Marshall. She currently serves on the board of Tyler Fine Arts Museum and the Carthage Main Street Program. At this time Vickie is also writing a coffee table book/memoir with the goal of inspiring other like-minded persons.

“My love affair with fabric is rooted in found things:

an excitement with old fabrics, laces, trims, buttons, and beads. Along my path,

I have discovered textured fabrics, special stitching techniques, and new ways to bring them together.

I create simple, embellished, subdued, elegant designs.”
